This session has been designed to give you some background information on the safety issue that was identified with the Dock Levellers in the Woolworths Temperature Controlled Distribution Centre.

How much potential is there for the solution to have a broader application across the industry?

Woolworths has installed the Safety barriers to the Loading Docks in all of their Temperature Controlled Distribution  Centres in Australia. This system would have a significant impact on the reduction of risks on sites with similar loading docks.  Woolworths confirm their commitment to sharing this hazard  control.

Barry Rowe MSIA has been employed with Woolworths in SA for over 23 years. He has been a Safety Professional with Woolworths in SA for in excess of 20 years. 15 years in the  Supermarkets SA Division and is currently the SHE Manager in Adelaide Regional Distribution Centre. He has provided  management OH&S Development, Employee  Training, Inspections for compliance and innovative safety solutions.
