2010 SISA Awards Entry Critera and Templates
2010 SISA Award nominations are now open - please view the attach documenttion The SISA awards recognise outstanding achievements in workplace health, safety and injury recovery among self insurers in South Australia. In 2010, the SISA Awards will have a new look, reflecting the ever-changing face of safe work and employment in Australia. The Awards have been revamped and a new award “Outstanding Personal Achievement” has been added.

SARC Report recommends removal of discontinuance fees
The Statutory Authorities Review Committee of the South Australian Parliament (SARC) released its report on WorkCover on 12 February 2010 after 2 years of hearing evidence. While the report recommends removal of discontinuance fees, it is unlikely that the recommendation will be accepted by the Government.

Ai Group releases Guidelines for Preventing Manual Task Injuries in Manufacturing
Ai Group has released its new Guidelines for Preventing Manual Task Injuries in Manufacturing, developed on behalf of the South Australian Manufacturing Occupational Health Safety and Welfare (OHSW) Industry Committee with funding from Employers Mutual, and project management by the Engineering Employers Association (EEASA). During the project, EEASA became a part of the Australian Industry Group.
