SARC Report recommends removal of discontinuance fees
The Statutory Authorities Review Committee of the South Australian Parliament (SARC) released its report on WorkCover on 12 February 2010 after 2 years of hearing evidence. While the report recommends removal of discontinuance fees, it is unlikely that the recommendation will be accepted by the Government.

Ai Group releases Guidelines for Preventing Manual Task Injuries in Manufacturing
Ai Group has released its new Guidelines for Preventing Manual Task Injuries in Manufacturing, developed on behalf of the South Australian Manufacturing Occupational Health Safety and Welfare (OHSW) Industry Committee with funding from Employers Mutual, and project management by the Engineering Employers Association (EEASA). During the project, EEASA became a part of the Australian Industry Group.

SISA supports Passports to Safety in 2010 - will you?
SISA has renewed its sponsorship support of the Passport to Safety Program in 2010 and urges member organisations to do the same. Passport to Safety is a web–based, self paced learning and test program aimed at school children and young people who are preparing to enter the work force for the first time.

Liability data shows self insurers continue to lead SA scheme
The proportion of total SA workers compensation liabilities carried by self insurers dropped to its lowest level ever by 30 June 2008 based on data collected by SISA.
