The International Standards Organisation (ISO) has released ISO/PAS 45005:2020, Occupational health and safety management – General guidelines for safe working during the COVID-19 pandemic on working safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. The document includes practical guidance on protecting employees as they return to workplaces.
The Standard has been approved by the ISO member countries, including Australia.
There are sections on managing the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and other hazards as people return to the workplace following an extended absence where work-related COVID-19 restrictions are currently being eased in stages. These would be particularly applicable in Australian jurisdictions at the moment.
