On behalf of Samantha Jones, Executive Leader, Regulation to provide you with update regarding the review of the Impairment Assessor Accreditation Scheme (IAAS).
As you would be aware the aim of the consultation was to establish a renewed IAAS and PMF that enhances the objectivity, fairness, and consistency of Whole Person Impairment assessments under the Return to Work scheme. Following an extensive consultation process through 2023 and 2024, the IAAS has now been approved by the Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector and can be found here. Hard copies are currently been printed and will be available shortly for distribution.
We very much appreciate the time and effort taken by all stakeholders to provide submissions and become involved in the review. A summary of key points relating to the consultation can be found here.
